Going to Angkor Wat, Cambodia through VN, Hotel, Apsara evening show and Night Market

Our trip to Cambodia was our second off ship trip this cruise.  It began in Vietnam with a drive to the airport.  Here are some pictures of our drive though the countryside and Ho Chi Min City (Saigon).

The difference between heat and humidity inside vs. outside caused the hotel windows to look like this a lot.

These are three Cambodian musical instruments.  I thought they were just display until this lady started to play them.

After getting settled we went to an evening Apsara dance dinner show.  Apsara is a classical Khmer dance art form. Our guide felt this would help us understand Cambodian hand positions and stories we would see in the temples.

Following the show we headed for the night market.  What better way to finish the day…according to Noreen.

Many restaurants are open air with fans.

DSC02114 (1024x768)

No words needed.  Note the difference in Noreen’s hair from the arrival picture you saw above and here; heat, humidity, and wandering through the jungle had an affect.  My hair was unaffected.

A store more to Noreen’s style over the market.
